I have used Mr.Quik’s services twice and both times I was quite happy with their responsiveness and professionalism. They came on time, the technicians communicated clearly and gave us several options. It was easy to deal with them and would definitely use their services again. It’s truly Mr. Quik !!

Mister Quik almost got my house burned down with a botched furnace install job. Back story: A little under 5 years ago I had my heat pump, furnace, water softener and water heater replaced by them. First off, when they installed the water softener, they removed a water filter meant to filter out sand because our water has some sand in it. They thought I didn't need it, but turns out my house very much needs it and I had to eventually install a new filter. So, for the main reason for this review, my wife walks out to the garage where the furnace is and she is met with a very strong potent smell of burning plastic and smoke. I call another technician to take a look at it and it turns out that one of the main wires providing power to the furnace was not firmly connected to the breaker. It was able to be pulled out of the connection socket in the breaker with my fingers and because the connection was bad, it was creating resistance in the wire, creating enough heat for the wire to melt through the base plate of that section of the furnace and expose the insulation below and to completely sever the wire. Also, some other parts of the circuit were way too small for the amount of current that was going to be passing through them, which was also creating resistance and heat and was also burning holes in the base plate. Based on that, I will never let anyone from Mister Quik touch any part of my house ever again. Every time they were here they couldn't help but upsell and upsell services to me. They hire sleezy salesmen and shoddy technicians. Update: I was contacted by their escalation department, and because I had someone else come and do the repairs, I will not recieve anything as compensation for the over $1200 in damages done by their poor installation job. I guess it's not reasonable to not allow someone to work on my house after their previous work threatened the lives of my family.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. There are cheaper options out there I promise. We called in to have service on a leaking garbage disposal and were told someone would be out to fix it same day. Instead of a licensed plumber, a salesperson who had obviously never even used a screwdriver in his life came to our house. Instead of addressing the issue that we called about, he wanted to try to sell us on a service program for our HVAC, a new water heater, and an unnecessary new garbage disposal. Our estimate for the disposal alone was over $2,000.00. This is absolutely ridiculous, we had a local plumbing place do the job for under $400.00. STAY AWAY!!! They will try to pressure you into things you do not need, and will never need. They obviously spent too much money on their awful commercials and are trying to recoup in any way they can. Predatory sales tactics were used, they will try to take advantage of honest hardworking families. The salesperson that visited was high pressure for absolutely no reason and had the personality of a moth with a know it all attitude. Mister Quik. Nope, you are Mister Ripoff.

If you are looking for a honest assessment of your HVAC situation, you should avoid using Mr Quik. The experience I had has left me questioning the integrity of this company. One of their service techs came out to inspect my HVAC because my ac was not functioning. They did come out immediately and were pleasant to talk to, which I appreciated. However, after spending an hour diagnosing the problem, the tech told me that the compressor was bad and the best bet would be a whole new system. For a “forever system” it would cost me roughly $33,000. Two cheaper options were also provided for $25k and $22k (if I wasn’t planning on staying then the house more than 5-10 years), or the ac unit alone could be replaced for just over $13k, which wasn’t recommended due to the age of my system (2015). And he told me if anyone else quoted lower prices I probably shouldn’t trust them. Interesting that he used the word “trust.” I was not willing to pay that much and had another company come out the following day to look at the system. In five minutes, that tech diagnosed the problem as a failed capacitor. He replaced that, cleaned the unit, gave me a new filter, and I was up and running in less than an hour for $325. This tells me that either the Mr Quik technician (who said he’d been doing this work for the past 20 years) is either incompetent or dishonest. Either scenario is problematic. What should have been a quick diagnosis and inexpensive fix was portrayed as a huge issue that required a lot of money to fix. By not addressing the real issue, the company caused my family to suffer through an extra full day of no ac during a heat advisory. Our dog had to go to a friend’s house because he was overheating in our house. I very rarely give negative reviews, but I feel very strongly that I need to warn others about the situation. The Mr Quik tech could have cost my family a lot of money to address a (intentional?) misdiagnosis. It was unprofessional no matter how you look at it. You would be better off finding an honest local company than using Mr Quik. The one star rating is generous.

I was hesitant to schedule due to recent reviews of this company and I should went with my gut on this one. I scheduled a two hour window, left work and waited. They, of course, called saying they were running 1-1.5 hours late. I mentioned the bad reviews and they recommended using someone closer to my home next time. If you can not handle the demand, don't advertise areas too far away. Newest reviews are accurate and honest, Mister Quik does not hold their appointment times. Good service during scheduling, poor service otherwise. Waste of my PTO.
